Changelog
Every version of Offlift so far, newest first. The app shows the same notes under What's new.
0.62.0 Latest
- Apple Watch app: the workout running on your iPhone shows up on your wrist. See the current set with its target and last time, adjust weight and reps with the Digital Crown and tap Done.
- The rest timer runs on the watch with −15 s, +15 s and Skip, and it taps your wrist when the rest is over.
- From the watch you can add a set, move an exercise to the end when the machine is taken, undo your last tap and finish the workout.
- Watch face complication: the rest countdown and the current set during a workout, otherwise today's planned workout.
- Everything stays on your iPhone; the watch only shows what the iPhone sends it.
0.61.0
- Reminders under Settings › Reminders & notifications: a reminder on planned training days, an evening nudge when you haven't trained yet, a warning before your week streak ends, and a note when a workout is still running hours later. Tap one to start the workout.
- Choose gym by location, a pure convenience feature that is off by default: set where your gyms are under More › Gyms, and the gym you're at is picked for your workout and marked "You're here". Only while the app is open; your location stays on this iPhone, is never sent anywhere and isn't in backups or exports.
0.60.1
- Templates: with fixed weekdays, set each template's days right in the schedule. Without templates, the starter programs no longer cover the schedule.
- The day bubble in the calendar and weekly consistency appears after a shorter hold, and the body map's glow is softer, especially in light mode.
0.60.0
- Weekly consistency and the calendar: colour days by workouts, sets, volume or time, pick the summary line, and tap a day to open its workout. Touch and hold, then slide, to see each day in a bubble.
- Weekly consistency goes back as far as you like with the new "All" range and has a large size; long ranges wrap into rows of half a year.
- History has view options: what the rows and month headers show, the calendar's colours and summary, and whether streaks and weekly consistency are shown. It also remembers list or calendar.
0.59.0
- Body weight goal on the weight card: a goal line, how fast your weight changes per week, and when you reach the goal at that pace. A band around the trend shows the normal day-to-day ups and downs.
- Strength vs body weight: every exercise's progress chart can show your est. 1RM as a multiple of your body weight on that day.
- New home card "Lifetime totals": workouts, sets, reps, volume and time since your first workout.
0.58.1
- Stability fixes for the strength level, plateau and records cards.
0.58.0
- Nothing gets lost by accident: removing an exercise or a home card can be undone, swapping an exercise keeps your done sets with the old one, and finishing asks before dropping sets you typed but didn't tick.
- Deleting templates, backups, weights, measurements and goals now asks first, and edit screens ask before throwing away changes.
- Edit a logged body weight or measurement by tapping it. Duplicate and reorder templates; their exercises now show as a compact list, tap one for its settings.
- Faster logging: the keyboard has previous and next, − and + for weight and reps, and opens the plate calculator. Start the rest timer by hand from an exercise's menu.
- More visible controls: Delete in a set's options, Edit right after finishing and in workout details, card settings when you tap a card under Customize, and links from an exercise's history to the workout.
0.57.0
- Each gym now has a weight for every bar: barbell, EZ bar, trap bar and Smith machine. The plate calculator and warm-ups use the right one.
- Weight stacks: tell a gym how its machines go up, and targets and progression only suggest weights that exist on the stack.
- Tick the equipment a gym has. The exercise picker hides exercises that need something else, and starter programs swap them for ones you can do.
0.56.0
- Starter programs: Push/Pull/Legs, Upper/Lower, Full Body and 5×5, ready as templates and set up as your rotation. Find them under Templates › + or in the introduction.
- Share a template or a whole routine as a file. Open it on another iPhone to add it to Offlift; custom exercises come along.
- Print a template as a PDF: a log sheet with boxes to fill in at the gym, or a compact plan overview.
0.55.0
- New home cards for a single exercise: progress, personal bests, rep maxes, recent sessions, fatigue, left vs right and machine brands. Add as many as you like, each with its own exercise.
- Measurement and goal cards, and charts as a line, bars or just the number (touch and hold a card).
- A selected muscle on the body map now glows in a deeper shade of its own colour. Pick another style under Settings › Muscles.
0.54.0
- Put any analysis on your home screen: tap + for the card catalog with strength level, muscle balance, plateaus, records, rest times, reps in reserve, training rhythm, consistency, volume per muscle and more.
- Touch and hold a card to change its size and time range, move it or remove it. Small cards sit side by side.
0.53.0
- Pick how each exercise in a template progresses: double progression, linear, linear with an AMRAP last set, triple progression (reps, then sets, then weight), more time for timed sets, or none. You can also set the weight step.
- Planned deload weeks: every few weeks a template's weights get lighter, and that week never becomes the starting point for later targets. Switch it on or off in the workout too.
- Backup exercise: set one per exercise in a template, and when the machine is busy, swap to it with one tap. Your sets stay.
- A selected muscle on the body map is highlighted in a contrasting colour instead of a white outline.
0.52.1
- Moving a workout is easier: drag it straight onto another day in "Next 7 days", no need to hold first.
- Fixed a freeze when opening the rotation order, and the steppers in templates no longer crowd each other.
0.52.0
- New in Templates: plan with fixed weekdays or a rotation. In a rotation your templates take turns on your training days, and a missed day skips nothing.
- Home and the Workout tab show what's next up. Touch and hold a day in "Next 7 days" to move its workout without changing the plan.
- Settings › Week starts on: Monday or Sunday, for calendars, streaks and weekly stats.
0.51.1
- Fixed the support, privacy policy and legal notice links in Settings: they now open the Offlift website.
0.51.0
- Control your workout from the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island: tick the current set with its target, or skip the rest and add or take off 15 seconds.
- This works even when Offlift is closed; the app picks up the running rest when it opens again.
0.50.0
- Swipe a set to the right to duplicate it; the copy appears right below. Deleted a set by mistake? Tap Undo.
- New set type rest-pause (RP): the rest before it is only 15 seconds, and it counts as a set to failure.
- Add pyramid sets from the exercise menu: ascending, descending or a full pyramid around your top weight.
- The screen stays on during workouts and flashes when your rest is over. Both can be turned off in Settings.
- Rest timers go up to 15 minutes, and "Off" works in templates and as the default too. Each exercise shows its volume while you log.
0.49.0
- IronLog is now Offlift: same app, new name. Your data stays on your device, offline.
- Backups from IronLog still import and still show up in the backup list.
0.48.0
- Proper singular and plural: "1 workout", "1 set", "1 week" in English and German.
- New introduction pages: set targets, "reps left", the muscle pill and exercise details, plus a button to explore the app with sample data.
- Clearer empty screens: searches that find nothing, plateaus and training rhythm before there's enough data, and filtered exercise lists.
- The widget shows body weight with your phone's decimal separator. Calendar and buttons use your accent colour throughout.
0.47.0
- Ready for the App Store: Settings now links to support, the privacy policy and the legal notice.
- Safer restores: "Replace all data" and "Delete all data" save a backup of your current data first, and a restore that fails leaves your data untouched.
- If the database ever can't be opened, Offlift starts anyway, keeps the old file in Files and tells you how to restore a backup.
- Fixed crashes from very long numbers in set fields and CSV files, and a rare crash when deleting a workout.
- A failed automatic backup is now shown under Backup & data.
0.46.0
- More muscles: upper traps, triceps long head, brachialis, brachioradialis, rectus femoris, biceps femoris, soleus and lower chest. Most have their own area on the body figure.
- Bundled exercises use them (e.g. shrugs = upper traps, hammer curl = brachialis, seated calf raise = soleus). Exercises you edited keep your choice.
- Sample profiles stay current: when you open one later, its training moves forward so the last workout was yesterday.
0.45.0
- Muscle pill in the workout: a small button at the bottom left shows which muscles you've covered so far.
- Tap it for the muscles still missing for today's focus (push, pull, legs, upper, lower or full body) and exercises to add with one tap.
- The focus is guessed from the template or workout name and your sets; change it in the pill. Turn the pill off in Settings.
0.44.0
- Recovery per muscle area: front and rear delts, lats, upper back, adductors and the other finer muscles recover separately on the body figure.
- The recovery list shows the finer muscles under their group. Check-ins and balance stay per group.
- Your own exercises get a tip to pick a finer muscle for more precise recovery and suggestions.
0.43.0
- Every exercise has a short how-to and shows the muscles it works on a body figure.
- Open it from anywhere: tap the exercise name in a workout, or the ⓘ in the exercise picker, history, templates and gyms.
0.40.0
- Finer muscles: front, side and rear delts, lats, upper back, upper chest, obliques, adductors, abductors and shin. The body figure shows them separately.
- Bundled exercises use the finer muscles (e.g. lateral raise = side delts, face pull = rear delts). Exercises you edited keep your choice.
- Balance checks, charts and recovery still use the main groups, so their results don't change.
- Train this muscle and the anatomy view suggest exercises for the exact muscle.
0.39.0
- Change reps left afterwards: tap the set number and pick a new answer (tap it again to clear).
- Exercise search shows how often and when you last did an exercise, and lists used exercises first.
0.38.1
- Small fixes to the training screen update.
0.38.0
- Targets now follow "Reps left": with 3 reps left the next sets get one weight step heavier, with 4 or more two steps. This applies to the rest of today's sets and to next session; the aim is 1–2 reps left.
- Tapping a set number now opens the coloured set options (set types, RPE & notes, Duplicate). The extra swipe button is gone; swipe left still deletes.
- The keyboard has a "next" arrow that jumps to the next empty field, even in the next set or exercise.
- Reps per side now count both sides in the volume (40 kg × 8 per side = 640 kg). Records and progression still use the weaker side.
0.37.1
- Small fixes to the new analyses.
0.37.0
- New sample data: sample profiles now show off every analysis. Most sets have "reps left", lunges and split squats are logged per side, the leg press is used on two brands, the overhead press stalls, and the plan is push-heavy with weak hamstrings, so Insights has something to say.
- Real rest times now subtract about 30 seconds for the set itself, so they match your rest timer better.
0.36.0
- Insights › Effort: how close to failure you train, per muscle, from your "Reps left?" answers.
- Insights › Real rest times: how long you actually rest between sets, measured from when you tick them, next to your rest timer.
- Insights › Training rhythm: which weekdays and times you train, workouts per week over 6 months and your longest streak of weeks.
0.35.0
- Rep maxes: each exercise now shows your best weight per rep count next to what your best set says is possible. "Easy PR" marks records you could likely beat today.
- In-session fatigue: how many reps you lose from the first to the last set at your top weight, and whether that is improving.
- Left vs right: one-sided exercises show the difference between your sides and which one is weaker.
- Brands: exercises done on several machine brands compare your best e1RM per brand.
0.34.2
- Swiping a set now shows one "Set options" button. It opens a compact panel under the set with the set types, RPE & notes and Duplicate, so nothing is cut off anymore.
0.34.1
- Small fixes to the training screen update.
0.34.0
- Workout photos: take a photo with the camera or pick one from your library, right in the workout menu, the summary or History. The first photo becomes the cover of the share card, and the photos themselves are shared along with it. They also appear in Progress photos.
- Fixed: restoring a backup with "Replace" no longer deletes your progress photos.
0.33.0
- Reps per side: lunges, split squats, single-arm rows and similar exercises now have a left and a right rep field. The weaker side counts for records and progression. Turn it on for any exercise in its menu or in the exercise editor.
0.32.0
- After each set, a small row asks how many reps you had left (0 to 4+). It takes one tap, is colour-coded and makes the recovery estimate more accurate. A coloured dot on the set number shows the effort later. Turn it off in Settings › Training.
0.31.0
- Targets and the "Last" column now follow the machine brand: switching Life Fitness to Gym80 shows what you did on Gym80. A brand you have never used shows no targets, because machines differ. Records and charts still combine all brands.
0.30.0
- Cleaner training screen: each set now shows its target as grey placeholder numbers, based on the same set last time (17.5 × 8 becomes 17.5 × 9, not the heaviest set + 1). Nothing looks entered until you do it; ticking a set accepts its target.
- The "Last time" and "Suggestion" lines are gone. One small chip says what changes (+1 rep, +2.5 kg, deload); tap it to see why. Weight only goes up when every set at that weight reached the top of your rep range, and three sessions without progress suggest a 10 % deload.
- The "Last" column now pairs warm-ups with warm-ups, so adding warm-up sets no longer shifts the comparison.
0.29.0
- The Live Activity now follows your whole workout: the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the current exercise, set number and planned weight, and switch to the rest timer between sets.
0.28.0
- Monthly and yearly recaps: a shareable story with your workouts, volume, favourite exercise, records and streak. Home offers last month's recap in the first week; all recaps are in History.
0.27.0
- New Insights tab in Progress: your strength level per lift with a radar chart, muscle balance warnings and plateau detection with concrete advice.
0.26.0
- Ghost mode: every completed set shows how it compares with the same set last time, and each exercise gets a race bar against your last session.
- "Train this muscle" in Anatomy and the muscle views builds a quick workout for that muscle from the exercises you use most, avoiding helpers that are still fatigued.
0.25.0
- More accurate muscle recovery: fatigue now fades gradually, depends on how close to failure you trained and on the exercise, and big muscles take longer than small ones.
- New muscle group "Lower back": deadlifts, hinges and squats now load it separately from the lats. 26 exercise mappings were corrected.
- Tell Offlift how sore you feel in the Recovery view, and it learns how fast you recover. "How recovery is calculated" explains everything, with sources.
0.24.0
- New: profiles (More › Profile). Keep your own data and a sample profile apart – each has its own database, photos, gyms and backup folder.
- "New sample profile" creates 16 weeks of training that uses every feature, for screenshots. It never touches Apple Health or your backups.
0.23.0
- Cleaner design: calmer colours, consistent card headers and compact stat rows on Home, History and the workout summary.
- The calendar only highlights days you trained; latest PRs and trophies are off by default on a new home screen (turn them on under Customize).
- The muscle volume chart uses fixed colours per muscle and groups smaller muscles as "Other".
- Numbers like "−1,6 kg" use your language's decimal separator, and chart ranges are translated.
0.22.0
- New anatomy model under More: every muscle of the body graphics, left and right, in realistic colours.
- Pinch to zoom, drag to move and double-tap to zoom in or reset. Tap a muscle for its name, function, your sets of the last 7 days and its recovery.
0.21.0
- Weekly volume per muscle now also counts secondary muscles at half, like the heatmap and recovery already do.
- New setting "Count secondary muscles" (Settings → Muscles) to switch this off everywhere.
0.20.0
- Pull-ups, chin-ups, dips, push-ups and similar exercises now count your body weight: log added weight (+) or machine assistance (−), shown as "BW +10 kg × 8".
- Bodyweight sets count toward volume, estimated 1RM and personal records, using your body weight on that day.
- Any exercise can use the new tracking mode "Bodyweight & reps" (edit the exercise in the library).
0.19.0
- The workout summary shows a muscle map of what you trained, with the most-worked muscles.
- The shared summary image includes the muscle map and uses your accent colour.
0.18.0
- New introduction on first launch with a quick setup of units, body figure and Apple Health. You can skip it any time.
- Open the introduction again under Settings → Show introduction.
0.17.1
- The accent colour now applies everywhere right away, and the colour choice shows real swatches.
0.17.0
- Brands are no longer part of exercise names: the library has one Leg Press, and you pick the machine's brand in the workout.
- Add your own brands; each gym remembers the brand you used last.
- Existing workouts keep their brand, e.g. Leg Press · Technogym.
0.16.1
- Fixed: the activity card showed 0 for today, and activity charts ended with an empty extra day.
0.16.0
- Adaptive recovery: heavy sets, high RPE and failure sets need more rest, light sets less.
- Recovery adapts to your usual volume per muscle, so well-trained muscles recover faster.
0.15.0
- Choose the gym in the workout itself and when logging a past workout.
- Gyms learn their machines: exercises you log there are added to the gym automatically.
- The exercise picker shows the gym's exercises first.
0.14.1
- The activity card on the home screen now updates live, when you return to the app and on pull to refresh.
0.14.0
- Gym profiles: save the bar, plates and machines of each place you train at.
- Switch the gym on the Workout tab; the plate calculator, warm-ups and exercise picker follow it.
- Workouts remember their gym; filter the history by gym.
0.13.0
- Time and distance sets: log planks, runs, rows and carries with a time, a distance or both.
- Stopwatch in the set row, pace and distance charts, and records for longest time and distance.
- Choose how an exercise is tracked in the exercise editor; CSV import and export include time and distance.
0.12.1
- The trophies card is added to existing home screen layouts automatically.
0.12.0
- Trophies: badges for workouts, week and day streaks, PRs, total volume and strength relative to body weight.
- New achievements appear in the workout summary; trophy card on the home screen.
- Records board under Progress with your best lifts per exercise.
0.11.0
- Muscle recovery: see which muscles are ready to train and which still need rest.
- Switch the heatmap between load and recovery, also on the home screen.
0.10.1
- Fixed a test of the home screen layout.
0.10.0
- Customize the home screen: reorder cards and hide the ones you don't need.
0.9.0

- Choose a male or female body figure under Settings → Appearance.
- New page with open-source licenses under Settings.
0.8.1
- Completed German translations and updated the documentation.
0.8.0
- Siri & Shortcuts: start a workout (also from a template), log your body weight, ask for your weekly stats.
- Control Center buttons to start a workout or log your weight (iOS 18 and later).
0.7.0
- Apple Health: steps, active energy, exercise minutes, distance and resting heart rate on the home screen and in an activity view.
- Workouts saved to Health include an estimated energy burn.
- If Health is already on, Offlift asks once for the new permissions.
0.6.0
- Muscle heatmap: front and back body view coloured by how much each muscle was trained.
- Tap a muscle to see its sets and top exercises; new card on the home screen.
0.5.0

- Workout summary after finishing: duration, volume vs last time, sets and new PRs.
- Share your workout as an image.
- Open the summary of any past workout from its detail screen.
0.3.0
- Progression suggestions: when you hit the top of the rep range, Offlift suggests more weight, otherwise one more rep.
- New sets are pre-filled with the suggestion.
- Rep ranges per template exercise and a default range in Settings.
0.2.0
